Like to bike? Want to do some good? Check out this event benefiting the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, called Bike to Feed Families. The event takes place at 10 a.m. Sat., May 11. Riders will meet at the Pump House in Homestead, load up their bikes with donations, and ride 10 miles along the Great Allegheny Passage to the food bank in Duquesne. The ride is open to cyclists of all abilities.
Most needed items:
- High fiber cereal
- Canned beans
- Canned tuna & salmon in water
- Canned vegetables
- Diapers & toilet tissue
Fresh produce is also welcome! Please, no glass. Check donations made payable to “The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank” are also accepted.
