By the end of 2014, transportation officials in Raleigh say 75 miles of road will be more bike-friendly. The recommendations are part of a Streetscape Capital Program which determined priorities for various infrastructure projects. Among those that would benefit cyclists: bike parking and bike lanes.

The city’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission, meanwhile, is working on a 10-year plan for transportation in the city.
